Carpet Cleaning Tufnellpark Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which carpet cleaning services are provided by Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark. By placing a booking, the customer agrees to these terms in full. They are written to be clear, fair, and suitable for domestic and commercial carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, rug care, stain removal, and related cleaning services. Throughout this document, references to we, us, and our mean the service provider, while references to you and your mean the customer or any authorised representative.
These terms apply to all appointments, quotations, site visits, and services supplied under the Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark name, whether the work is arranged online, by telephone, or through any other agreed booking method. The terms are intended to support a professional carpet cleaning service while protecting both parties from misunderstanding. If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Booking Process begins with a request for service and may include a description of the area to be cleaned, the type of fibres, the condition of the flooring, and any known stains or special requirements. Quotations are usually based on the information provided by the customer and may be revised if the actual work differs from the description given. A booking is only confirmed once we have accepted the request and provided a time, date, or booking reference, whether verbally or in writing.
When arranging a carpet cleaning appointment, you must ensure that all relevant details are accurate. This includes access information, parking arrangements where relevant, and any safety issues that may affect the work. If the property has delicate materials, pre-existing damage, embedded pet odours, or heavily soiled areas, you should disclose this before the service begins. Failure to provide accurate details may result in a changed price, an altered service scope, or cancellation of the appointment.
We may ask for photographs, approximate measurements, or other information to help us prepare an accurate quotation for Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark services. Any estimate provided before inspection is based on the information available at that time and does not amount to a fixed contract unless expressly stated. Where an on-site assessment is required, the final price may be adjusted if the scope of work is larger or more complex than first described.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking if the property is unsuitable, unsafe, inaccessible, or presents a risk that cannot reasonably be managed. Examples may include severe contamination, hazardous substances, infestation, excessive clutter, or the presence of vulnerable flooring that cannot be cleaned safely. In such circumstances, we will aim to explain the reason for the decision and, where possible, suggest an alternative approach.
Payments for carpet cleaning services are due in accordance with the agreed quotation, invoice, or booking confirmation. Unless otherwise stated, payment is required on completion of the service and must be made using the methods we accept at the time of booking. Any deposit requested to secure a slot is non-refundable except where we cancel the booking or agree otherwise in writing. All prices quoted are normally inclusive or exclusive of VAT according to the status of the business and the wording shown at the time of sale.
Where a deposit is taken for a Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark appointment, it may be used to cover administrative costs, scheduling commitments, or preparatory work. A deposit does not limit our right to charge for work completed, materials used, or additional services requested by the customer. If payment is not received when due, we may suspend further work, charge reasonable recovery costs, and, where applicable, charge interest on overdue amounts in line with applicable legislation.
Payment must be made by the person who made the booking unless another payer has been expressly approved in advance. If a company, landlord, agent, or tenant instructs the work, the party making the booking remains responsible for ensuring payment unless we agree in writing to invoice another named party. We are not responsible for internal disputes between third parties regarding who should pay for the service.
Cancellations and Rescheduling must be made as early as possible. If you need to cancel or change your booking, you should notify us promptly so that the appointment can be offered to another customer. For standard domestic carpet cleaning, we may allow free rescheduling where reasonable notice is given, but late changes may be subject to a fee if they cause lost time, travel costs, or wasted materials. Any cancellation charge will be fair and proportionate to the loss incurred.
If you cancel a booking after we have begun travelling to the property, after equipment has been allocated, or after preparatory work has started, we may retain the deposit or charge a reasonable cancellation fee. If we arrive at the property and cannot carry out the cleaning because of lack of access, absent occupants, unsafe conditions, or inaccurate information supplied by you, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation. In such cases, the full fee or a substantial portion of it may be payable.
If we need to cancel or reschedule a Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark appointment due to staff illness, adverse conditions, equipment failure, or any other reason beyond our control, we will try to give you as much notice as possible and offer an alternative time. Our liability for cancellation is limited to refunding any deposit paid for the affected appointment, unless the law requires a further remedy. We will not be responsible for indirect losses arising from a change of date.
Service Standards and Customer Responsibilities require cooperation from the customer before, during, and after the cleaning. You must remove fragile items, valuables, and personal belongings from the work area unless we have agreed to handle them carefully as part of the service. We may move light furniture where reasonably practical, but heavy items, electronics, fitted fittings, or objects connected to utilities may be excluded. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the premises are ready for the appointment.
We will use professional methods appropriate to the fibre type, stain condition, and equipment available. However, not all stains can be fully removed, and some marks may be permanent due to age, dye transfer, wear, prior treatment, or chemical reaction. Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark services are designed to improve appearance and cleanliness, but no guarantee is given that every stain, odour, or defect will be eliminated. Results may vary depending on the carpet construction and pre-existing condition.
If you request work on delicate, antique, or specialist materials, you acknowledge that the cleaning process may carry a higher level of risk. We may decline certain methods if we believe they could damage the fibres or backing. In such cases, we will either suggest a safer alternative or, if necessary, limit the scope of work. Any customer instructions that conflict with our professional judgment may be refused.
Liability is limited to losses directly caused by our negligence, breach of contract, or failure to perform the service with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to those mandatory rights, we are not responsible for indirect, consequential, or purely economic losses such as loss of profit, loss of business, or missed opportunities.
Before work begins, it is your duty to inform us of any pre-existing damage, fragile surfaces, underfloor heating, loose seams, colour instability, or other conditions that could affect the outcome. We are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing weaknesses, hidden defects, unsuitable materials, or incorrect information supplied by the customer. Where a carpet or rug is old, worn, or previously treated with unsuitable products, cleaning may reveal existing damage that was not visible beforehand.
Any claim relating to Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark services must be reported within a reasonable time after the issue is discovered and, in any event, as soon as reasonably possible. You must allow us the opportunity to inspect the issue and, where appropriate, to remedy it by re-cleaning or other reasonable steps. If a claim is valid, our maximum liability will ordinarily be limited to the amount paid for the relevant service, except where law requires a different measure.
Waste Regulations and Environmental Compliance apply to all disposal and runoff associated with our work. We operate in line with applicable UK waste management, environmental protection, and duty of care requirements. Cleaning residues, wastewater, removed debris, and any contaminated material will be handled responsibly and must not be disposed of in a way that harms drains, waterways, soil, or public areas. We may refuse to dispose of hazardous material that falls outside the scope of standard carpet cleaning.
Customers must not ask us to dispose of prohibited waste, including chemical containers, bodily fluids, asbestos, clinical waste, or other regulated substances unless this has been separately agreed in writing and can lawfully be managed by the relevant licensed route. If unusual contamination is found during a carpet cleaning service, we may stop work and request instructions. Any additional disposal cost, specialist handling requirement, or third-party waste charge may be added to the invoice where lawful and reasonable.
We may use water extraction, cleaning agents, and vacuum recovery methods that produce wastewater. Where possible, this will be managed responsibly and in accordance with environmental rules. You agree to provide access to appropriate drainage or disposal points if needed and to ensure that our methods do not breach building rules, landlord restrictions, or site-specific environmental policies. We are not responsible for penalties caused by restrictions that were not disclosed to us in advance.
Access, Health, and Safety are essential to providing a safe Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark service. You must ensure that the property is reasonably accessible at the scheduled time and that the working area is safe for our staff. We may refuse to proceed if we believe the site presents an immediate risk, including unsafe wiring, aggressive animals, excessive fumes, slippery surfaces, or environmental hazards. In such cases, any waiting time or wasted attendance may be charged where appropriate.
You are responsible for informing us of any health and safety issues, including allergies, respiratory sensitivities, recent pest treatments, or restrictions relating to children, pets, or vulnerable persons. While we take care to use suitable products and follow reasonable precautions, it is your responsibility to ensure that occupants remain clear of the immediate work area where necessary. We may ask you to ventilate the property before or after the cleaning if this is sensible for the materials being treated.
If furniture must be moved, we will take reasonable care but are not responsible for damage caused by items that are unstable, poorly assembled, already damaged, or too heavy for safe handling. Any assistance offered with moving objects is provided on the understanding that it is done at your request and at your risk, unless damage is caused by our negligence. We recommend that valuables, electronics, and sentimental items are removed in advance.
Complaints and Remedies should be raised promptly so that any issue can be investigated while the details are fresh. If you believe the service did not meet the agreed standard, you should provide a clear description of the concern and any supporting information. We may request photographs, access to the treated area, or a further inspection. Where a valid service issue is found, we may offer a re-clean, a partial adjustment, or another reasonable remedy depending on the circumstances.
We will not consider complaints where the issue results from natural re-soiling, customer misuse, third-party interference, failure to follow aftercare instructions, or a change in the condition of the carpet after completion. Carpetcleaning Tufnellpark cannot be held responsible for normal wear, recurrence of old odours due to underlying causes, or damage caused by the customer using unsuitable products after our visit. Any dispute should be handled calmly and in good faith.
Governing Law for these Terms and Conditions is the law of England and Wales. Any dispute, claim, or matter arising out of or in connection with the services or these terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with that law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction unless the law requires otherwise. These terms represent the entire agreement between the parties for the relevant service unless a separate written agreement states differently.
